Information on company

One of the main directions of Russian Mammoth Society' business is mammoth ivory export. Our company is one of the largest exporters in Russia and also is one of largest ivory suppliers for German and Asian companies. We have long, proof and stable business connections with ivory-consuming companies around the world since 1995. After the international ban for elephant ivory, mammoth ivory became widely used for all that that the elephant ivory was used before for.

Since mammoth ivory is actually fossil ivory, there are no bans for its importing or exporting. Nevertheless, special import certificates are needed. The Russian Mammoth Society Ltd. is the professional exporter with long experience on the market, and this is why our export operations do not take long to be performed. Moreover, we possess all needed sertificates and licenses for exporting operations.

The ivory we export is found in permafrost areas of Siberia. Since it stayed in earth for a very long period, the quality of different pieces is different. We recognize five grades, from best to chips. To the right you can see instances of each grade. Below is the table explaining different grades and pricing. Exact details are found in the "Information" part of our page.

Along with trading the raw ivory we export raw mammoth tusks. This merchandise is usually used not for carving, but for decorations, etc. Similarly to the raw ivory, we recognize up to five grades of tusks. However, prices for tusks are usually higher than for cut ivory, since it is more valuable product.

Certificates

Due to our long exporting experience we have good connections with the customs house. Also we have all papers required for export: Certificate of Origin, Export License, Medical Certificate. Thanks to all these arrangements our export operations are prompt, safe and comfortable.

The procedure of payment for mammoth ivory, mammoth tusks, jade, carvings and fossils is as follows: after reaching an agreement on price you make payment to our Moscow account, and then the we make delivery of merchandise to you.
